Looking forward to the gathering this friday. Come hell or highwater I'll be there, perhaps dragging my female sidekick in tow.

I was curious as to what everyone drives and why did you choose that model. Might as well add what you have done to it and why.

I'll start first obviously. I have a 1985 BJ73 turbo diesel, right hand drive. I've always liked the 70 series models for what they offered and how they looked. It's stock, for now, my list of changes is a mile long. Might even pick up another one next year.

I had 1979 FJ40 (that nasty, awful, roadkill smurf blue) when I was younger and I am still kicking my own ass for selling it; it would have been a perfect candidate for a 4BT cummins swap.

I just drove to Albuquerque, NM to pick up my first cruiser. Ill be showing up this Friday with my 1997 Land Cruiser. Its stock for now, but like you, I have a list of things I want to do to it.

Couple of 80's.

Nice. I think I've seen your rig. Is it white with a "? Gear" sticker on the back window? I was behind you on Shea a few days back, kept trying to catch up...

I'm a little lost. Where is everyone going? I'd love to be there if someone could give me some info?

I drive an '85 FJ60 with some 33" Duratracs, some crappy fender trimming and thats about it. Oh, other than the MBZ air pump I have on it.

Edit: I forgot to add I have a GM TBI swap!

Awesome. Thanks for the info!

Hah, yah that was me. It's a sticker that says "Allset Springs", it is a 4wd shop down in Queensland. I figure one of the previous owners had been there.

I drive a Chevy!
No, its a Toyota!

Let's just say, I drive my wife....crazy.

Wrong only 1 of 3 of my Land Cruisers has a snorkel

Your 100 series is your first Land Cruiser without a snorkel I do believe;)
My guess is you are saving up for it for your 100:flipoff2:

Dammit, busted...

I'll be there on Friday, possibly with the wife-unit; hopefully, this time she'll be able to stay awake a bit longer, rather than fall asleep on the back seat of the 'Cruiser.

Mine is a 1996 FZJ80. For details on everything that's been done to it, ask Saddletramp. I bought it from him recently.

See you guys on Friday. Oh, and welcome to the 'new guy' - the only guy around here with fewer posts than me, so far!
