What I did on my holidays

Railing I built for the top is island fir, 2x4 which I releived in the centre on my table saw then flipped the fence to the other side of the blade and beveled. Much fun building wood products that are not off the shelf.

Also the railing I built out of 1 1/2 by 1\2 thin wall tubing and welded up at my buddies shop, not my welds as I suck at welding.

Dang, how long is your Holiday?

Holidays were extended for a month or two.....

Couple things I did after the holiday..

Ripped out the old planter, did a built in with a old church phew as the seat and used recycled high school fir bleachers as table tops, full extension slides on the drawers.

Mother's mag and aluminum polish does wonders on machinery tables. Its the little red can with the white top.

Mothers® Mag & Aluminum Polish

Evil flooring..........................Looks good though. Nice Bessy's but in comment to your saw, it looks like it's time to whip out the Naval Jelly & steel wool & hit the miter slot. Appears to be a little rusty.

Very nice floor though.

I like the metal handrail, how does that fir hold up, fairly soft.

Its refered to as the hardwood of softwoods and it does seem to get harder over the years. I use a fair bit of reclaimed fir for projects and I am always surprised how hard it is.

In saying that, my two dogs have made a real mess of it or should I say disstressed it nicely.
