What have you done to your Land Cruiser this week?

Well, I haven't done anything to it this week, but my '79 40 has been at Proffitt's since January being mutated. I'm overseas right now and my internet is crappy, so I'll throw some before and after up when I get home in a week or so. Doesn't mean I can't list the goodies.

5.3, 4L60E, Orion
60 axles, 4.88's locked
SOA front/4link rear
37's
Stretched to 100"

I swear I'll put some pics up, but I had to tell someone who would appreciate it. I'm way too excited about getting this thing back. I only have a month to use it before I'm back out here!

Sounds like a nice conversion, Mis,led Youth. Those guys do some nice work!

Just rolled up the windows and took the Munchkin Malitia for a ride.

4Runner Theft

Was up at my brother's place and he had a couple of four runners. Stole a brake booster and front seats out of one. I got the driver's seat in (It's nice to have the ablity to adjust your seat again!!) will work on passenger some time.

Installed brake booster. Had to install approx. 3/8" spacer and works great. It's been close to 3 years since I have had power brakes on this rig. WOW WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!!

Delivered some more parts to my buddy and took the 40 back to the other workshop to have a little more welding done to the body mount location near the front left fender! Took a photo of the Supra engine while I was there.

Tell me more about the Supra engine swap?

1. Passed inspection on Monday. HUGE COUP!

2. Figured out later that day that my gas tank was full of rust particles, which would completely clog my fuel filter in 15-20 miles. Top speed: 40 MPH, otherwise it would clog while driving and lose all power. FAWK!

3. Removed the tank, had it hot tanked at Blanco Radiator Service in San Antonio for $55. That included an inspection for holes and a repaint. Took them 24 hours and the tank looks great.

4. Installed the tank and made her maiden voyage on the highway to Austin. Minor overheating problem, but she could cruise at 60 (almost 70 with my rubber overdrive without a hiccup). FAWK YEAH!

5. Now getting the lift and Bilstein 5125s put on at Edwin's shop. FAWK YEAH x 2!

6. Edwin's is also draining away my radiator worries... :bounce: for getting the sludge out of there!

Got my new sill installed this past week, new rocker panels the month before that. Need to add a couple spot welds up on the cowl, and she can head back to my place and get prepped for paint. Progress is a wonderful thing.

Olde North State Cruisers show at the dealer in Charlotte, NC. Lots more that I didn't get in the pic.

Very nice!

replaced the brake master cylinder and once again can stop with minimal pedal effort... also hardening up with driving around topless (the 40 not me) through winter..

1405 edelbrock 4brl placed onto that old snotty 350sbc, shocks, and re-mount the battery plate. Should get the 40 back to "rolling" status today after starting the build in april! Had it since 84, looks better now than when pops bought it then.

Spent a lot of time on MUD threads related to 4" lift with extended shackles.Getting ready to install HFS suspension and need to get the proper STEEL shims for the leaf spring/axle. Thanks MUD members for all of you're information.Glad I joined after all these years ,I don't know how much I can contribute to you all ,but you sure have helped me. Thanks.
