What have you done to your Land Cruiser this week?

Drained and filled the transmission and transfer case. As expected the transmission had much more oil in it than the t-case. Replaced the fill plugs with the oil return line kit from $OR. I had to cut the hose in half on the oil return line as it is too long for the three speed to transfer case distance.

Finally returned the front axle to it's rightful home after 2 years of separation ;p

Got some tunes installed! Kenwood marine cd/iPod player. Pioneer speakers mounted with Velcro for easy removal. Speakers plug into RCA jacks installed on back of tuffy console. Uncut dash!

I refinished the FJ40 half doors with rattle cans for $29.00!!! I sanded doors, applied primer coat x3 with sanding in between, applied Duplicolorsemi-gloss black x3 coats, applied Duplicolor clear coat x3 coats. It came out nice and smooth.

Installed my new remflex gasket and heard the beautiful sound of my 1f running without a blown exhaust gasket because of the warped flange on the header. I was skeptical about the remflex but it worked!

Also installed and fixed the handle on the back door that was broken when I bought the beast.

new rear wheel wells mocked up, rear doors removed and cross bracing welded in place waiting rear sill fab (this week), took off stock steelies and put some tundra 16's on the front, and mini truck 15's on the back (front was fun, backspacing issues, custom shims, wheel modifications), reinstalled rochester 2bbl, and started it up third crank (dry lines), drove it a short distance (exhaust removed, sounds like a beast) good times cruisers are

Thanks. The color is actually a newer Toyota FJ color. Just added some metallic and pearl. Wasn't really the best picture to show off the paint. I was just finally glad to have it home. The interior was stripped, welded in new patch panels and the rhino lined in a metallic pearl gray as well. I'm pretty happy with it. The top took quite a bit of work. Some new fiberglass on it and repainted. Now to find the time to get it back together. I have all new glass to install. Roll cage/seat frames, new fuel system to prep for the LT4 coming this winter
