Finally got to wheel my Cruiser, up Imogene in Ouray, Colorado.....went up as far as we could , still not open, maybe the middle of June, but for now it was great to finally drop it in low low and creep along in my own backyard..

That is one nice fj40. Who makes those rear fender flares?

Moved the FJ40 to the Evergreen mountains where it belongs - it likes it here; except for the engine tuning. Needs some carb tweek at 8200 ft amsl.

Fit rear section and tail lights - Norforce HJ47

After waiting a week for a clutch hose, I went to install it and it was to short. Oh well off to the hose guys tomorrow!

Not to ignore the old girl, I assembled the rear section and installed the tail lights. After some more minor bodywork, it's almost ready for paint.

Picked up a rusty 78 axle in the Texas mud for $75 and spent the last 2 weeks tearing down with a rose bud and breaker bar, wire brushed it replaced all seals and put a 3.73 third in it.

Now I am ready to install under my 74 just a few loose ends to tighten up!

Good work!

Uncovered it, looked at the hail dings on the hood and drove it to the Lone Star meeting..made it home and covered it back up.
Called Stockton for the zillionth time...my 16" stock steelies have finally shipped:bounce2::bounce2:

Tore the rebuilt ps pump back off because it was leaking, found the harmonic balancer was no longer aligned correctly. Orderd a new balancer from the damper doctor. Wire brushed and painted the crank and water pump pulley.

After pulling my hair out trying to find the source of a soft brake pedal, including replacing the double diaphragm booster with one from a pickup, finally swapped out the master cylinder again and got working brakes.

Popped on the early grill. Bezel free and lovin it. Gonna get some mitsu jeep headlight rings to finish it off.

The early stuff barely fits with the factory a/c stuff. I had to do a little massaging but its on there.
