Just passed a 2.66/gallon. I can’t ever remember the gas/diesel spread this far apart.

diesel is mainly used for commercial vehicles. been subsidizing gas for years. refineries are doing ok profit wise lol. 4.99 in the gallatin. do i detect a bit of southern drawl in your typing, hope all is going wellJust passed a 2.66/gallon. Probably due to the current economic policy to curb inflation. If you make costs of delivering goods (diesel for truck drivers) higher, then there is lower demand in the market for those more costly goods. At least that's my oversimplified explanation...Getting gas and wondering why diesel isn’t coming down.View attachment 3183807
cant wait to hear spoli boi noisesTurbo is on but unfortunately the knock sensors are pulling timing and cuts engine power significantly. This is a common problem for old knock sensors, new ones inbound Wednesday and will hopefully fix the timing retardation issue. I will say that at as little as 4 psi there is a significant difference in power vs stock.
Turbo is for the most part wrapped up and driving well! Few small tweaks to make but man does this make a difference in the upper end. The goal was to provided some top end power for cruising in the highway and while I haven't had it loaded down and on the highway I do believe that goal has been accomplished. Time to drive it now and tweak things closer to cruise moab. I want to get the factory air cleaner back in and do some internal transmission upgrades but for now I'm digging the spooli boi noises! No heat issues from what I've seen yet but also haven't driven it far, baby Russell has been taking up a ton of the and it's amazing I even got it on the truck but the Y pipe exhaust leak had to be fixed before he could ride in the 80, it was very fumy. I wrapped the down pipe and the turbine housing has a thick turbo blanket wrapped around it. I tried to get everything as far away from the firewall as possible so hopefully all will be fine. Only thing that didn't survive was the low pressure ac return hose from the evaporator as I took it out before it melted itself, still need to make a new one of those but thats an easy job, just haven't had the time for it. I'm guessing at the 8 ish psi I'm at now I'm probably putting down close to 250hp now, this is based off of what other people have gotten with similar set ups. I think I put down 139 HP at the club Dyno day. I will at some point get it back on the dump but it's gunna be awhile. Everything is tight and tucked as much as possible to the motor to give the most clearance around the turbine housing/down pipe to anything that may melt.Johnny that's looking good, fit's in there nice and clean. any heat issues yet that you've seen and what kind of numbers are you getting. good job, you know it looks like there might be room to fit another smaller one in there also, make that 80 fly lol.
Hood is non issue, it's alreadysounds like it's gonna work, heat is always a big problem. you might have to add a bit more insulation on the hood or you might have some scorched paint. keep it under 10ish and you should be safe. sam's dodge pegged the 100 psi gauge and egt's followed, really bad meaning expensive things can occur really quick when you get into that world. once you get it all worked out you're going to be really happy and always have a smile. You better be getting it all fixed because before you realize it Russell is going to be asking for the keys to go on a date. NIce job PS, what was his bday. Did he make it to my daughter's bday of nov 7th? tell Polly hi, Ron
lolAfter I’m back from all my travels in the new year looks like it will be time to go shoot some skeet. Airbags work great.
