I spent the last few days pulling the running gear from the 78 and stripping the Fj45swb.

Frame goes out this weekend for power coating. Blasting and coated for $350. Body work starts in 3 weeks.

In the meantime I will be clean up the motor 140+ compression,Herat riser flap was stuck open, new gaskets and clean and paint and clean and paint. Axles have new brakes and bearings in the front , Rear seal are weeping and knuckle rebuild.

The Carb needs some work I think I will go either with the one barrel (63) or the 2bbl from 69 (opinions?)

I started this and my new shop will not be built for about 8 weeks. so it is a garage project.

Cool, glad to see another escapes the eternal farmers field death so many have seen...

as for the 69 two barrell, if it has the weird solenoid thingy on the outside of the carb, ditch it. Get a later one.

I'll have to go look at my frame, I didn't realize the pass. side had a big "jog" in it. where you getting the frame done at?

3 pups, I have a shop here in Polson right down the road from me, But I got quotes from Missoula Powder coatings and this guy local matched it.

Someday I will get over the divide and try and touch bases with you. Myrle

No big jog in the frame, Maybe something happend in the downsizing of the pic.

It says something about flattening the pic. I* was looking a Matts LV fame and had to go check mine because of you commet and his frame looking so different than my Pic They are suppose to be the same.

yeh, looked really strange.

frame looks normal to me. FJ45lv frames have a crossmember for the gas tank between the rear diagonals, and at least one set of body mount standoffs forward of the rear spring hangers, but are otherwise the same.
