87 4runner needs:
rear bumper/rear tow point
rear leaf springs
front skid plate

just for stock, if anyone's got any spare parts let me know!
(nat i'm looking in your direction!)

You're seriously not bringing the crew cab? I tried buying that beast when it was in AU and missed it. I need to drool on it in person! I vote you bring the 45.

The 45 will definitely be there and enjoying the easy trails on Fri and Sun. I didn't mention the 45 because there is nothing to do to her. The 4runner is for the intermediate trail on Sat. Are you bringing the troopie? They will look good together.

I had the 45 at Stratton Mountain this weekend. I was the only 40 series in attendance. The trail wasn't challenging, but fun nontheless. It was a good first trip in the 45. Funny thing, though the mileage according to google was 290 miles plus two trips up the mountain at 18 miles and the diesel only used 1/2 a tank! I cant wait to fill her up and calculate the actual mileage.

A picture is worth 10,000 words!

New front brake calipers, pads, rotors.
New tie rod, and complete TRE's. (old one bent)
New Steering stabilizer
4 new shocks
New rear D-shaft, rehabbed 2 old ones...
new rear brake pads
front/rear diff fluid change
Oil change
*wire brush and undercoat frame....ugly job
Order rim for full size spare

Go through parts list and make sure I have everything I need for the 8 hr trek to and from NH!!!!

I have almost everything done, TRE's and tie rod are the last item.

See you guys at the end of the month!!!

It's truly amazing! No more repairs in a parking lot, or street side! I was thinking back to all those fun, year-round repairs that took place outside...under a tarp, during a rainstorm, in 10degree weather, ect...ect...I sure don't miss that!

The list WAS big, pretty much because she's been neglected for a whole year!!

Troopy is still on the way from AU. It's oversized due to the lift and the extra high roof. Seems like it doesn't want to leave AU! I will be pigging it in the 55 with the freshly painted M101 in tow. Need a pintle hook, wiring adapter, and a sleeping bag. Gonna get new brake cylinders put in the pig before the trip. The 55 isn't leaving the camping spot due to the oil leaks.

John - RH Scales on University Ave in Norwood is trailer heaven. They'll have everything you need. Natick Outdoor is an great source for all outdoor activities with a large selection of sleeping bags, even oversized models which actually give you room to breath.

Matt and I got the 2F installed this weekend. It runs great plenty of torque compared to the tired F and no knock. Ended up using my 72 carb intake and header from the other motor with the HEI. Had to go to an electric fan because the water pump is longer than the old one and the radiator is moved from the astro swap. Used an 77 alternator with an internal regulator and changed the cruiser wiring to handle that and it seems to be working great.
Thanks for all the help and parts Matt.

Kick myself daily for schedulin our vacation the same weekend.

please bring something to put down and trap the oil.

I've got some 6x9's you can have. They sounded pretty good about 8 years ago when I had them in a Bronco.

How is all your list(s) coming along?
my truck runs better than it has in years, and it dosnt sound like a suabaru either :D

the 30's are in with little trouble. I have accualy started painting stuff to make the red heap of junk look a little better too

Built a couple spare (1/4in wall) drive shafts that I didnt have before...

Thanks JJS for the speakers they worked mint.

Almost ready to go!

Ok , new brake pads are in, replaced a wheel bearing, fixed the broken shock mount, side marker lights are working, new tail light lense is on. Have to pick up a fan belt, and a storage box for stuff. Check U-bolts and I should be good to go. The big question is to go topless or not!

JUST for FG  (well, maybe a bit for work too)

Tows so freeking nice I cant even describe, so much better than my old Johndeer junker. GOt a smokin trade in too, thats pretty much why I did it. sacraficed 1600lb of GVW for a TON more deck space and better ride.

Just realized I have absolutely no camping gear. That might be a problem. I'll have the wife get on that immediately.

I bought one of those Rubbermaid Action Packer boxes today.
Cut a piece of 3/8 plywood to lay in the bottom and bolted it
down in the back of the 40. It's big enough to fit 2 drive shafts,
2 ammo cans with stuff, all my recovery gear and tools. Still has room
inside for other small item. Chainsaw is securely fastened above one of the wheelwells, Hi-Lift
is mounted horizontally on the roll cage behind the seats. Still have room to store the cooler, just have to
put some I-bolts in so I can secure it. Mounted the CB antennae on the spare tire carrier.
Most organized the rig has ever been!
I'm a bit hyper right now! Couple more days!
