I posted a while ago about trying to figure out why my brakes were dragging. It was suggested that I pull the line to the MC to look for a residual vavle, sure enough there was one in there. One problem though, the bolt was rusted and I accidently snapped the brake line. So now I need to run a new brake line off the MC to the junction on the front axle.

What size of parts am I going to need, do you know the standard nut size? I'm guessing I'm going to need a brake flaring tool and brake line bender? The master cyliner and front end w/disks are from a 75 or newer.

Thanks

I'd say take off what you broke, go down to napa or your local auto parts store, and get something that'll work. They sell pre-made lines with ends on them (flared w/ nuts) in various different lengths. Watch out though. There are japanese and european threads, so make sure to get the right ones.
You'll then need a bender like you said.
Good luck!

measure the length you need ( to the junction block) go down and ask for a "Japanese" brake line. they won't have the exact length you need but get something close, they usually come in 1'-5' lengths. get something a hair longer and just coil it to make it work. ( this will be the easiest way otherwise you will have to cut and flare a new brake line on your own)

Use care in removing your old line so you can use it as a template when you bend your new line. It's much easier to bend the line off the vehicle.

most local napa shops will build brake lines for you. Just make sure you bring your old fittings with you, when I brought mine down, they didn't have anything in the same size.
