Took the Tundra out for some wash time.
Went Christmas tree hunting today. ~ -5°F. Brr.
First longer drive with the 295s. Average on the dash was 15.4mpg. adjusted for tire size it would be 16.6mpg. Typical mpg for that drive with stock tires was about 18. So I lost about 1.5 highway mpg going to the bigger tires. Not sure there's a big difference in warm vs the cold weather. I haven't generally found it to be much different previously. But it definitely was cold today. And FWIW - I'm in Alaska and we don't have ethanol in our gasoline if that matters.
EDIT: Other thoughts are that the 295/70/18 tire size appears to have roughly similar tread width as the 275/65/18s I had before. If anything it may be slightly narrower tread width. I set the pressure at 45psi at around 60 degrees in my garage. Costco sent me home with around 10psi in the tires - they were loose wheels, but still pretty sure I need more than 10psi. Maybe that nitrogen is getting too expensive to use willynilly. Lol. Ride quality seems very comparable to 32psi in the stock size. Might be slightly harsher, but I think the taller sidewall helps offset the stiffer tire and higher pressure a bit. Power loss is noticeable, but mild enough to be quickly forgotten. The Michelin 295s are 56lbs vs about 40lbs for the stock ones and obviously taller as well.
I also would say that the LT tires, probably due to higher pressure, have noticeably worse snow and ice traction than the P rated version of the same tire. Not sure if they are similar tread compound or not, but I think the P rated version performed better on snow and ice based on initial experience.

65k mile service, finally changed my blown rear shocks, and got new tires. It rides like it’s brand new. My tires on the rear were down to the metal in some areas on the inside.
Went wheeling in a cloud and sent the drone up into known icing conditions just to see how it'd handle it. It only took about 15 seconds before the rotors iced up and it couldn't maintain altitude. Rime ice is a bitch.
Took the 4runner out for our first snow. I wanted to take out the Tundra and test out the new Kanati tires but wife insisted we take hers.
@AmericanKing That Sequoia makes the LC80 look tiny.

I did truck stuff... We went out and found a tree and then I got some throttle therapy. I tried to have some forrest road fun in the Tundy but it became very clear after 230K the suspension needs some serious love. The build list keeps growing... A few weeks back I installed some Amazon tail lights, new LED 3rd brake light and interior LEDS. Now that I've "adopted" my wife's old truck as my new "build" it's time to show the Tundy some love.
Replaced all 4 door speakers with the JBL kit off eBay
I fixed the rearview camera cable and installed the headlight resistor that came with the TEQ Headlights.
I'm going to miss this truck. Giving it to my son at Christmas.

That's a great Christmas present! Do you have a link to the speaker kit you used?
This is the kit:
The wire adapters for the front speakers were wrong but everything else was fine. (This is because the kit was for non-JBL trucks and mine was JBL).
I'm not sure if I used the front speaker mounts on the back and vice-versa as they didn't line up very well amd weren't labeled. I added a hole on the rear door mount. I put the ones with the removable tabs on the rear doors for reference of what not to try first.

Not a weekend thing, but I gave 'er a hair cut today and took the roof rack off. Personally, I do like a slick top. Bonus is that there's less wind noise, and the lie-o-meter says I picked up another ~1 MPG.
Been having AC issues in the Sequoia so I swapped out the Air Outlet Servo assembly. Found one of the arms coming off of the AC box had broken and been glued together previously. Reglued it (it’s a non serviceable part) and stabbed it back together and I’m not getting heat on the drivers side so it’s coming back off tonight lol.
Anyone else had issues getting it swapped out?
