Made a visit for some Genchi Genbutsu…

We have a number of turbo 1FZ builds upcoming this winter and spring at my shop in AZ.

So it behooved me for my clients’ peace of mind for me to vouchesafe and visit my old friend Johnny and see the turbo goods in person.

After all, a legitimate turbo system is **not cheap**

@Cruisers and Co

I am impressed. Very impressed. I met Johnny many years ago when he was a teenager in high school. (I’ve been friends with Johnny’s father for years) and we wheeled together in Utah and the Rubicon a number of times in the mid-2010’s.

The attention to detail, the thought process from the POV of a DIY enthusiast doing the work, the great support Johnny and team provides, I’m very impressed. Helps that he’s an actual engineer and he possesses drive, ambition, understanding of Toyota systems and is interested in making sure his clients are satisfied with the efforts.

All of the makings of a successful business and Johnny and his team are working hard at the most important things that have killed other LC businesses: Supply chain, logistics, technical support, and making sure a product is on the shelf before selling it.

Proud of you, Johnny.

As someone in the twilight of my professional career in the LC world after 20+ years, I’m excited to see the next generation of LC minds upping the ante with technological innovation and integration, ideas, dreams, enthusiasm and integrity.

Thanks for taking some time on your day off to show me the shop and talk through your design principles and strategies regarding the implementation of forced induction for the 1FZ.

Excited to see your next moves.

Holy Sniokees!....That's some bundle o' wires. Looks like an awesome kit.....Been along time since I've had an 80.....but have fond memories and picking through the stock loom and finding a burnt wire.......

It is just a patch harness, allows you to wire your stand alone without cutting into the stock harness.

I left mine in the shop unattended and lonely where it’s been since turf & Surf weekend three weeks ago. 😳🤪
