What did you do with your 80 this weekend: maintenance, fix, wheel, nothing, new mod??

Me:
Checked air in tires
Change oil&filter 180,000
Fill gas tank
Waiting on box of parts from Beno
I just got my first 80! So, naturally, I had to drive it around and show all my friends and family how cool I was.

We are a visual group ! Picture or it didn't happen 🤪

Completed the Interior Build (New 2nd Row replacement) which sits lifted off the floor for some extra Storage. Also reinstalled the 200Ah Lithium, Inverter Combo Box and the Fridge.

Looks pretty Clean now. Also installed a TJM single compressor, that thing has some serious Power!

Swapped an LX dash into my 94. Incredibly happy with the end result. Couple things to tidy up (install stereo, re-house the CDL harness side plug) and should be good.

After a couple of weeks finally permanently installed and bled an ibooster out of a tesla model y in the 80. Also took the opportunity to get rid of the abs/ LSVP.

Does the iBooster allow you to increase your braking power above the stock, vacuum based brake booster? And did you wire it up to stock pedal or using one from a tesla?

So this is probably equivalent from a braking power standpoint since I chose a master with the same 25mm bore as the 80. You may be able to find ones with larger bores that fit on the booster though, but I didn't look very hard.

I modified the stock pedal assembly to work with the bolt pattern of this booster.

The main reason was I got the master and booster with 20k miles for $150 off ebay. So it was worth trying to see if I could make it work versus oem pricing.

Discovered a windshield leak during the recent heavy rains. Initially noticed a wet passenger side floor mat, probably dropped through the dash. Picked up an OEM gasket. Trying to decide if I should find a competent shop that will follow the fsm, or attempt it myself. I lack the experience and tools to tackle this one.

And the rebuild begins! 334,000 miles (150,000 of which I put on it) and I have nothing but good things to say about how this motor treated me. So excited to give it a new lease on life and keep it going for the next 334,000 miles.

H152F and new short block en route.

As usual with this thing, @ExpoMax was along to give his magic touch.

It's really not that complicated. Only tools you need are screwdrivers to remove the various fittings around the inside of the windshield (A-pillar covers, sunvisors etc.), a 12mm wrench to pull the wiper arms and stubby screwdriver to access the screws on the plinth below the windshield. Oh and a length of cord.
The adhesive you choose to use will dictate how much time you have. Historically I have used this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000RW1XCK?tag=ihco-20 but you only have 30 minutes before it starts to go off. Last time I used this stuff which also worked well. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0182RGDP8?tag=ihco-20
Definitely bring a friend to help.

You make it sound easy! I may give this a shot on my own, thanks for the tips!

Quick trip down Padre Island National Park. I used to go at least once a year as a kid, but the last time we made it down was in 2016 same car just a few more minutes.
