Did you order a bumper notched to clear the flares? Luke makes them two ways.

Went to mount @4x4labs bumper and the holes are not lining up on driver side? The wing is hitting my flares not allowing me to line up the holes? I guess I will have to step bit the holes out? And find a insert don’t want that thing moving around! Any advice?

I had the same issue. I was able to finagle my flares in but they would probably fit better if I clearanced them. Mine weren’t in great shape anyway, likely from being ripped off at some point in their lives. All of that to say that it maybe easier to unbolt and move them out of the way and/or clearance them than to elongate the holes on the bumper.

Finished up my wheel/jerrycan carrier (needs paint and wiring for the lights)

What do you mean by clearance them? I can’t really move them out of the way they don’t have play front to back I need about 3/8 to a 1/4 inch forward.

There are two versions of the bumper. One for flares and one for no flares.
If your bumper is trimmed for flares I would call Luke to see what he says.

I most definitely have the bumper made for flares and still needed some massaging of the flares to get them to play nice. I figured this is a “your mileage may vary” situation.

A call to Luke my be fruitful, I don’t know.

In fact I just had mine off this morning to install the caps from @Outsane that have been sitting for months and check/adjust fitment of the flares. They still don’t fit perfectly with the bumper.

Went and ran the nearby trail again. Twice. The first lap was with other members of a local Facebook group.

During my second pass of the loop, I encountered a Subaru at the bottom of a long, steep trail. The smell of burnt clutch faintly wafting through the trees.

So I offered to drag them up the hill that I had just come down. After getting the recovery strap situated, the LX made the climb easily. I could hardly tell I had a yellow Baja in tow. Was too busy helping to take any photos or video.

With the crisis resolved I got turned around and finished the loop.

All in all, a pretty solid day with the 80.
