Running mine down to the crew at @Cruisers and Co tomorrow for the A750f swap plus EMU Black ECU…I’ve had her at my friends place in Salida since Cruise Moab this spring…got some of my East Coast crew scheming to make a trip out in early spring to join before I get her back home…

Special one for me ladies and gents. We Got married!
And at my (now) wife's suggestion, we decorated my 80 for the wedding car!

It was a truly one of the best days of my life, the day was filled with all the different elements that make up our lives (the outdoors, nature, hiking, skiing, canoeing, etc etc) and I was pleased the 80 formed part of that and was tarted up to make an appearance at the entrance.

As for the custom plate:

I got a Japanese plate stamped tying togeather some sentimental features:
The plate background is an official Izumo city plate featuring one of my wife's favourite piece of art, the great wave of Kanagawa. Then I included the Nagano Prefecture Kanji which is where I proposed (atop a mountain on a ski trip), and for reasons obvious the word MARRYD, and then just 37 for the vehicle classification and a Jap plate to suit the Jap car.

It rode around on the car for a while with the ribbons and bunting and sign writing, and now we have a cool keep-sake hanging in our livingroom.

The windows originally had more sign writing but there was torrential rain and gales in the morning, so that had to be removed. But as we had "buried a sausage" the night before (no not that kind of sausage burying you dirty bugger) the storm subsided for the start of the ceremony and sun shone the entire day (not common for this part of the UK).

And the 80 graced them with its enduring presence, the front entrance stained with some oil from the transfer case (rear output shaft) and some ATF from the steering box.
