It was a late and long day yesterday. Got the blue monstaliner laid down.

Looks awesome!!!

Can't wait to watch it get wheeled again!

I keep saying I'm gonna take it easy, but we all know that's not gonna happen!

I did a tire swap from the 60 to the 40 and been driving it on the street for a month. Put a little over 400 miles on it. I forgot how much fun it is to drive on the street. The kids love it. We went for a long drive today and i just happen to catch this pic of the kids.

I finally installed my 4X4 Labs rear bumper. In reality it was pretty easy. Sawzall to the cross member and frame rails and then it bolted into place perfectly. I had heard stories of bolt holes not lining up, but I didn't have any trouble at all. Still need to mount the rear tire carrier, but that's the easy part. Check out my Ace Hardware exhaust mount (due to cutting off the resonator and tail pipe - the picture needs to be rotated 90 degrees counter clockwise...)

Ran ground wires to my front turn signals and have working turn indicators now. Working tail and brake lights. I'm legal for day time driving now. Need to figure out the headlights, still not working. They worked for a long time but have since stopped. I pulled the switch and cleaned it up. Wasn't too dirty. Cleaned connections at the lights. They were covered in dirt. But still not working. Will troubleshoot more when I can.

Mounted my tire yesterday. It wasn't as simple as I thought. I had to clean up the mounting holes in the swing out a little bit to get the bolts in (too much powder coating?) and then had issues with the lug nuts. I bought some lug nuts at Advance Auto that "fit" but the shank on them was too long and they bottomed out before putting any preload on the wheel. I tried some spacers, etc., but it wasn't working. I was about to give up, but went digging around for some thicker spacers and found some locking lug nuts that I had removed from an old 4Runner we used to have and they worked fine. If nothing else, I had fun lifting that stupid 85 lbs tire and wheel on and off a number of times. o_O
