Thanks bud. Gonna take me a bit to get everything "right" so I can run them. Wish I would have thought abt it when we were at your house.

Installed a 2m radio in the 40 today.

uh-oh... now you're talking... 2m rocks....in comparison to CB

Remember that radio is air-cooled... got to have some room to radiate heat or maybe consider a fan.

Ran a few errands and was out riding around yesterday afternoon and couldn't resist driving around in the dirt...

Ordered a new fuel tank for the 40 today. Should be here by next Friday.

I got in on the group buy for a double cardan front drive shaft and also primed my sliders!

Wow. Fuel tank arrived a week early.

22gals takes up a lot of space. What size tanks are the earlier ones?

Finally get your longs Corey?

Put new brake pads on the Sequoia and changed the oil in it. By far the easiest vehicle for an oil change I've ever seen. Land Cruiser content: I need to swap the 4.7L V8 into the LX450!! :hmm:

Got the sliders installed. It was actually pretty easy. They fit great and it is amazing how stout they are…

Test fit one of the 35's from the new 80. I'm gonna have to shave the rear calipers for the wheels to work.

Looks good Rance, hope you can make the wheels work.

Between here and there

So,when I got everything buttoned up and drove the 62 up to GSMTR, I got in a hurry and didn't double check everything. It turns out, even though I put tension on the AC belt, I didn't snug up the pulley itself. This caused the belt to slack and rub a hole in the brand new lower radiator hose I put on. Well, I finally got around to fixing this today. Drained the system, removed the damaged hose, snugged up the belt and pulley, refilled and burped. Drove around the block a couple of times and we're back in action. Now to do a brake job (front and rear) and replace a few wires before the 25yo ones I have fail.
