What color paint do I need for trim? (color mystery investigation)

Out of curiosity, I ran the VIN through CarFax (yes I know, should have done it before bla bla bla).

No records at all of it being repainted, no records of any collision repair, nothing. The Texas DMV registration records going back to 2010 say "Vehicle color noted as Beige" or "vehicle color noted as tan" starting with the second owner, who purchased it in 2010 at 138k miles.

The first owner got regular service at the same shop for over 5 years and 60k miles, but it was last serviced at that shop in 2009. I wonder what the chances are they'd have records going back that far.

I compared to some paint swatches from other 1998 Toyota colors, and it's a nearly perfect match for Cashmere Beige, which was a Camry color. Ordered a rattle can of that, we'll see how it goes. This is far closer than any of the other options I've seen so far.

Maybe it is an early or late production model. This is very odd.

Maybe it is part of a Toyota attempt at a sort of Porsche Paint to Sample program.

I got the can of Cashmere Beige Metallic in the mail today, and based on the cap it’s identical. This is definitely the color. So I have a Corolla-colored Land Cruiser.
