Doesn't look to be portal, certainly not the famous 2-1/2
ton rockwells found under the duce and half. Way cool truck though, way cool $ does it run?? I found this pic on one of the military vehicle collector web sites.

Same as I discovered. bummer. it does not run. no engine, trans, or wheels. some form of dodge axles. military grade though. it's on craigslist if anyone wants a cool project. I think I'll pass.

It's too bad those axles are probably hard to find parts for. I think it would be awesome to have some big, crazy, off the wall axles like that just for people to try and guess what they are. Try and convince them they are some long lost toyota 1 ton axle from japan.......lol

surprisingly they are actually easy to find parts for. Not sure what their actual strength is. (will they hold up to the abuse of rockcrawling) I know the aftermarket axle shafts are 1 1/8 inch in diam. 10 spline though.

Go to P O W E R  W A G O N   Page or Vintage Power Wagons-- Your Source for Dodge Power Wagon Parts and Trucks! -- civilian military m 37, m-37 wc Dodge Power Wagon for specs on the truck. The civilian version was my first intro into 4 wheel drives. It was a heavy duty 4 wheel drive back in the 50s. It would make a good project.

They are not the axles that you want for a cruiser though.
