What are these? - trailer wiring connectors

I’m having a trailer light issue and have been looking for a faulty converter for longer than I’d like to admit, I’m starting to think it was removed at some point. Does anyone know what these two green plugs are for? Also, if anyone knows which cable I should splice my new converter into it would be much appreciated. 2000 LX470

p.s. I’ve already followed the wiring from the plug above the spare all the way up to where it gets lost in my quarter panel, there is no converter behind either of my taillights or anywhere in that general area
