First pic - left to right

Glow plug relay - perhaps 28610-68030
random aftermarket relay

second pic
To left of the wiper motor is a circuit breaker.

The reference may be regarding the aftermarket relay in the top photo and the aftermarket junction block-thingy in the lower photo.

If so the answer is it is any body's guess. Wiring will have to be back-traced to determine what was trying to be accomplished.

Awesome cheers, looks like it's been answered, I was mainly interested in:

1st pic: the grey cylindrical thing (looks like a tiny silo) as it makes a clicky sound when the car starts (so does the solenoid i believe).

2nd pic: yeah the wiper motor and the connection to the left bolted to the body

In fact, is anyone able to give an idea where to find the starter motor/solenoid?

The solenoid is attached to the starter. The starter motor is on the left hand side of the engine(sitting in the car looking forward) where it joins the gear box.Whats the actual problem, is the starter not engaging? Give it a whack with a rubber mallet or thick piece of wood.

That relay in the top photo with the red wire was probably for the spotlights at some time or another if it had them
