Looking to lose the stink bug with my 2.5 OME.

What is the concensus for best size and quality (material) of spacers to eliminate this?

Just a little worried that when I finally get the 44 gallon long ranger setup, I will get dumpy ass when full of gas and goodies.

OME packers you can get .5" and .25" and OME says that you can put up to 3/4" in there.

PM Toolsrus for solid aluminum spacer that fits above the stop plate. It moves the whole spring seat and stop down 1" to 1 1/2" for a lift of equal amount. It is the best.
He engineered the spacer to be cut from any thickness of aluminum. It is cut on a CNC milling machine. They usually run about $80 to $120 a pair depending on the cost of material. Availability is dependent on the available time on the CNC. The units are usually cut in group runs when the machine is not being used to make guns. You may need to place an order and wait for manufacture.

Skip the spacers and invest now in the correct sized springs. You can always sell the old ones to folks here. 80 series are popular these days.

Mr Gasket makes a 1" spacer - Less than $30.00 to the door for 2 spacers (rubber) - Can't remember the p/n

Running 315/75/16 BFG AT KO's with OME 850's plus Mr Gasket 1" spacers and OME 863's. Pretty level stance - rear slightly higher.

I like the MAF 30mm spacers. IIRC, they're $70 for a front set, and they don't tend to sag as bad as the Mr. Gasket ones do, IMO. I also like the looks of these. They may be the ones mentioned above.

How long have you had them in and whats ur overall take on it? Ever look at them when wheeling under full compression?

Thanks,

Yea - The 1285 is the spacer I'm using (above the front coils).

Had them on about 3 yrs - Mainly highway driving (25,000 mi + per year) but we do go to the 4 corners area (Silverton CO & Moab) once a year - been in some pretty tight spots. Haven't looked @ the spacers under full compression but they've held up.
Get some rubbing of the front tires on the sliders I built under full compression, but it's minimal - Slight rub mainly when you hit a wash going too fast.

If I had to do it all over again I'd go with 850 J's and 863's (already had the 850's so the Mr Gasket spacer worked fine)

That was good info... Thanks ded
