Anyone have any idea what a set of stock 60 series chrome bumpers are worth? The front is an easy 9 out of 10 condition-wise. The rear, probably more like a 6.5 out of 10 (no major dents or bends but end caps on the rear have been remounted using stainless carriage bolts). Wondering if I can get a little cash out of these to fund other upgrades or should I just shelve them away.

PS...I'm in Canada...shipping x-border probably not so practical.

Thx.

whatever someone is willing to pay for them.....

you might check with cruiserparts.net and see what they are selling the used ones for to give you an idea of relative worth

Five Dollars!!!!!!! GOODLORDTHATSALOTTAMONEY! Yeah I know it was kind of a stupid post but my local cruiser guy will take them off my hands when I buy my snorkel. Just thought I'd go in with a little ammo. Thanks guys.

tell him you can get $50 a piece then and see if he goes for it.

cruiserparts.net wants 100-160 for a bumper. If theres any chance of selling the cruiser (trading up or such) might want to hold onto them so you can switch them.

I gave mine away when I bought my bullbar. The recipient was ecstatic and will likely pass on the favor somehow to another Cruiserhead in the future.

It's a good temporary one until I make my own with the truck gettin' it. Shouldn't be too long before I get to do some serious wheeling I hope...

I just sold front and back OEM chrome FJ60 bumpers with end caps on ebay. Got $80 bucks, but prolly could have done better if I put a higher reserve. The shipping on the bumpers cost $90 so the buyer ended up paying $170 total. I would say $80 is not bad for used bumpers though. I'm happy.

The one I gave away I shipped from MI to CA for $15 via FedEx ground - didn't even box it, just slapped a label on it.

I wouldn't use cruiserparts.net as a guide, he a gouger. I live in NH, as does he, and I can get stuff shipped from CA and it still ends up cheaper than if I got it from him. I would say the most you could hope for is $50- $60.
Good luck.

Cruiserparts did right by me. I checked all over locally to find an ignition switch new or used for my 60. It was way cheaper to get it through them even with the shipping. Came quick, worked great.

Let us know what you do end up getting. I'm starting to think that parting out my 60 will make more money than straight up selling it.

i have thought about the same thing when and if i ever sell my 60, which i doubt i will, or at least in the forseeable future. although i don't think i would do it just for the money.
i think i would only part it out if the engine is shot or something major. i wouldn't feel right parting out a perfectly good 60 just for the sake of money. i think i would get some bad karma my way for doing that :D

RIGHT ON BROTHA. How could you part out something that wasn't shot? That means taking one more good cruiser off the earth!
That would be disgrace to the cruiser gods.

yeah i wouldn't be able to look at myself in the mirror if i did that :D
