What are GX470 guys using for bike racks?

Both look good! I like it.

I need to do this! I’ve got a 1up rack and I’ll soon be adding on a tire carrier and I’ve been thinking about what it’ll look like with the bike rack on.

I’ve just been getting annoyed since I leave it on 100% of the time and if I don’t have a bike on there, I still have to lower the rack a bit to open my door. Not bad I guess since it only takes seconds, but it’s starting to be more of an annoyance than anything.

Time to get a swing out!

@justcasey Are you able to open the barn door with your bike tilted down on the rack? I am interested in the simplicity of the OneUp Racks, but am not sure how it would work with our barn doors. Thanks!

I actually haven’t tried that but I’m sure I would be able too. Though it sounds/looks like it would be a hassle to get things in and out with the rack down AND the bike attached.
It also only takes seconds to remove the bike so I probably won’t do it, but I’ll take a picture to see if does for giggles.

I have the 1up quick rack single. My barn door can open with the rack in its normal position no problem. I also have a Curt hitch receiver.

I also noticed that if you rotate the rack towards the car it actually hides out really nicely and it's even more out of the way. I contacted 1Up and asked them if they had ever considered adding a notch for it to 'store' in that position and they said that I'm the only one that's ever suggested. Safe to say they ignored my idea.

That said, I've left it in this position and it doesn't move around or anything and it can't contact the bumper.
