Don’t know much about 7x series, but know enough that I’m pretty sure there is some switcharoo going on.

Florida title. Says it’s 1984. LHD. 5 speed. Coils all around. 4cyl diesel. Airbox looks like it’s for a turbo, cluster is obviously for a turbo.

Body seemed like decent shape, fresh paint, but didn’t appear to be to hide anything but old paint. Looked like undercoating on the underside.

Did any of these have coils that early?

From the VIN, it looks like it came with that motor. A normally aspirated 2L. I just looked it up in the EPC, and the drive train and suspension definitely did come out in that configuration in 1984.

10-4. I was thinking coils = light duty. So I guess the cluster was swapped from a different truck. (Probably with lower miles)

I’m still learning 70’s but one of the first things I learned was at quick glance look at the front turn signals. Easiest way to tell light duty from heavy duty. Everything from cowl back is the same.

G'Day Fella's,

It looks like what was sold here in Australia, as a TLC "Bundera".
They had a 2.4ltr naturally aspirated petrol engine and coil suspension as standard.
The Turbo Tacometer, has me guessing? Maybe this was replaced?
The main difference that I can see, is the Bundera, had sliding rear side windows, not fixed one's like above?

Hope that helps

I dont think they made any of these until 1985. 1984 was the first year for the 7* series, but I dont think production started until november and they only made the long wheel base 75 series. I could be wrong but the parts diagrams dont mention LJ70 for 1984.

EDIT, double checked and it says its 84-85 model.

They had 3 names around the world Bundeera for Australia, they were the first Prado in Japan, and Europe and S America had them badged as Landcruiser II. Oz gets more sliding windows than other countries in other models as well.
