Went to buy a 99 LX470 and came home with a 2003 LX470

What are you talking about, I have a woody LX too so was throwing darts at myself as well.

Lighten up, Francis.

Meh, no big deal, where I come from one good shot deserves another.

100's are capable for what they are (size, setup, drivetrain). For what it is it's never let me down and always impresses me (along with others). Maybe not as capable out of the box as a 70, or 80. But damn capable for a luxo cruiser. If you outfit the 100's properly you can run just about any trail out there (unless it's just plain nuts). Enjoy and hope to see some pics of you wheeling that beautiful thing!

Welcome to the 100 tech!

Thanks Monkey, I love it! Love my 70 too - 2 totally different animals -each with their goods and bads.

I'd probably enjoy a 70 as a second vehicle, heck you're not the only one with a 100/70 combo.

You gotta remember, I'm giving your fancy grocery getter crap because I've got one too but I havent gone groc....s**t, we used it to go get groceries @ Cruise Moab but woody was with us so it's ok! :flipoff2:

Enjoy the rig, just dont let the :princess: get too comfy in it, running boards off and bigger tires ASAP! On the exhaust manifolds, the Doug Thorley headers that are coming on the market should bolt up with yours no problemo.

lol, ya, I'll probably do some tweaking. Will my 100 series 16 inch rims fit on this thing? Haven't tried yet.

I was just reading the header thread, I am interested, this is going to sound bad but will the truck be louder with them? I don't want any noise - i like the quiet now - two kids screaming all day the last thing I want is to get into a truck that makes noise. Don't get me wrong, my HZJ79 has a 3 inch system and makes some harsh noise - just don't want it in my DD. I know diesels - limited with gassers.

I'll keep an eye on that thread.

Louis

yeah, the wheel will fit. It shouldnt be louder, maybe a little, but you're not changing the muffler system. Install a K&N Intake and SLP muffler like mine had, yeah you'll be loud.

i figure there would be a little noise, but not bad, I'll think about it - have to do something soon though. I love how quiet it is now - must be getting old, I know why my dad liked the old lincolns now, except for his last one that kept leaving him stranded, he got it towed to the dealership and threw the keys in the front door - then went and bought a toyota.

thanks!

The wood is real and gorgeous. You people who criticize real wood in the Lexus Land Cruiser prefer plastic? Sheesh.

Congrats on your new rig!

Nice ride, Louis!

I like the Black Bird’s-Eye Maple wood trim on the Special Edition LX470.

plus the monochrome paint! Although, it comes with more bright work and chrome bits off the poverty pack overseas...which would kill it for me now. Cant have shine!

If anyone has one of the 400 SE's, and wants to change their black wood trim out for something lighter....you know where to find me.

Gorgeous! We have a white 03 and it is truly an exceptional vehicle. The only thing I would sell it for is a 570.
