Hey All,

First time posting in the clubhouse section but have been active on Mud on and off for over a decade. Developed crack in my intake manifold ('75 2F) in the plenum under the riser. Any recommendations on local shops skilled enough to TIG weld a few beads in the aluminum to seal up without damaging the manifold? I plan to take the intake and exhaust manifolds to a machine shop after fixing the intake cracks. San Marcos and Lockhart are relatively local but I work in ATX so have flexibility geographically on the whole metro.

Thanks in advance!

I’ve had these guys do custom welding when I worked in the semiconductor industry. Jesus Briones is the owner and does great work. His shop is in the S. Congress & Ben White area

Y'all are awesome. Thanks for the leads! Will have my better half make some calls tomorrow.

I used these guys and they were good and didn't charge me much for some mods to an aluminum radiator.

David, would these be the guys to contact to make some minor modifications to my rear bumper swingout? Or are they focused on more precision welding? I need to make some changes to that swingout before my big summer trip!

They do more precision stuff, I think.
