Whats up guys! This is an awesome idea for a forum! I've been in the same Air National Guard unit for 17 years. My name is Aaron and I started out as an F-16 crew chief, then we got BRAC'd and they gave us A-10's. Took a trip to Kandahar with those bad ass planes. I did a short stint as a contractor working on Predators. I "got" to go back to Kandahar with that job, as well as Jalalabad, Shindand (both Afghanistan). I also spent a little time in Kuwait on the way to Djbouti. I tell you what, it's a lot better being deployed as a contractor!

I've been full time with my unit in some sort of fashion since 9/11. Other than my time as a contractor. All as a flightline crew chief until....they took our A-10's away.

We now have an RPA flying mission and two separate Intel missions. This gave me the "opportunity" to become a comm guy. I am now the Information System Security Manager...I have no idea what the hell ok doing! I went to Cyber Security tech school as an E-7 and man this new career field has never made me feel so stupid while having so much responsibility in my life! Yay for me!

I look forward to this forum and being the smartest guy here since I am Air Force.

I posted my hello in the wrong place....my bad. And here is my 2006 LX470 I got this week. I did have a fully built 2001 LX and have missed ever since selling it.

This one is not going to leave my ownership any time soon! The build begins with the running boards coming off! Tires next week.

Hi, thanks for your service, and welcome.

Hi Shawn. Welcome to the highway and thanks for your service.

My name is Aaron, and I'm an 8 year USAF vet - we seem to be well represented here.

Spent 4 years on active duty, 4 years guard where I served as a Security Forces Patrol Deputy and as a Combat Weather Technician (before the split the career field). Spent time in Afghanistan working with 10th MTN and SOTF-E, and later 82nd ABN... it was there that I learned to really appreciate the Toyota's dependability, and finished out my career working with the Homeland Response Force working disaster management in the traditional guard.

Since leaving the service I've picked up a 80-series TLC from LandCruisersDirect and I've been lurking here since.
My interest in Land Cruisers is the logical outflow of my interests, which are mainly outdoor sports, exploration and martial.

This forum has been great, and though I have little to contribute, I'm glad to be learning from y'all.
Oh yeah, I suppose an intro wouldn't be complete without a picture of my wheels:

Cheers,
Aaron

Hi Aaron. Welcome to the highway. Thanks for your service.

Your land cruiser looks too clean, any mud in the future for it?
