Welcome Kevin!! Thanks for your service!!

Don't be embarrassed... we only started this forum about a year or so ago... and had no way (other than appending it to our individual signatures) to announce it or broadcast it.

Better late than never!!

Welcome Kevin. Bunch of good guys here.

Kevin, welcome to the group and thanks for your dedication to the armed service and time spent. Great intro Doc!

Hi Kevin. Welcome to the highway. Thanks for your service. Two 40s, you got it bad.

I just spent two hours reading all the great posts in this thread! Thanks everyone!
My name's Joel, I've been a cruiserhead since 2002, I've owned a 68 fj40, an 88 '62 (both gone) and my dd since 2004, an 82 '60.
I joined the 173d FW Oregon Air National Guard in 2005 to pay off student loans but soon found it was the best gig in town. I've been crewing The mighty F-15 fulltime since 2007.
We are the sole training squadron for F-15 pilots so no real world deployments but plenty of great TDYs to places like OZ, Hickam, San Diego, Tucson, Panama City, Fargo.

Welcome Joel and thanks for your service and sacrifice. The Eagle is a great aircraft and I witnessed a power and zoom climb demonstration at MCAS, Yuma, AZ back in '74. It was awesome!

Welcome Joel

Hey everyone. New to the forum, new to Cruisers. I am a 21 year veteran, all active duty, with four years in the 101st and 17 more in the Navy as an aviator. Just got my first FJ40 and haven't even had a chance to really drive it before I had to run off to work. Happy to be part of the gang and look forward to annoying all of you at length, later.

nafod, thanks for your service and welcome to the Veterans Highway. I see you learned staying in a plane is safer than jumping out of one. What did you fly in the Navy? I'm an old Phantom II Phixer (F4 B&J) fuel system and power plants mech.

Thank you....and thank you for your service as well. I flew C-130's mostly. I also flew the E-6 for a few years, but mostly the mighty Hercules..

I've flown many miles in the back of C-130, it's a work horse for sure. That's a nice looking FJ40 in your avatar.

Hello everyone!

My name is Thomas and I did 8 years (1998-2006) in the USAF as a 3C0X1 (COMM).

I pretty much spent my whole enlistment at Eglin AFB, with a couple stints to the desert and a year in Korea.

I had a FJ80 in the past, that I regret selling, but I now own a FJ60, which I tend to slowly work on.

Looking forward to losing myself in these forums once again. lol

Welcome Thomas, and thank you for your service. Where did you go in the desert?

Welcome Thomas to the Veteran's Highway, your 60 looks like a great project truck.
