Dealer serviced life of vehicle. No accidents. 2 owners. I had comprehensive mechanical check. Replaced fluid in AHC. Tinting front passenger windows with ceramic tint, rest of vehicle has dealer/manufacturer privacy glass, replaced wheels and tires with method r18 and 275/65/18 Falken Wildpeak AT4W tires, no rubbing. Currently looking for reasonably priced seat covers. This is my slow build retirement overlander. No rock crawling. Light off-roading and camping is the life for me. I will have to do this on a budget. Thanks for the advice. I appreciate it.
Your use case is similar to ours and we hope to ride this baby into retirement and beyond. Sounds like you have a handle on the maintenance and basic things. At this point I’d get out and get to camping, you’ll fill up a list of wants quick.

I don’t think the factory privacy glass will keep the heat out like your ceramic tint will, if your sleeping in the vehicle or live in a hot area this is something to find out more about.

We get a lot of utility out of our drawer system, if I was starting over I’d be looking hard at those along with a LRA tank. The LRA is a game changer.

Idk what your seat cover budget is but the Equipt covers would likely be the only set you’d ever need to buy. It’s easy to forget the utility these provide, especially in the fit department. I literally never realize I’m sitting on seat covers, they just fit that well.

Hey all! I just joined and this is my first post. I bought a 2018 Land Cruiser back in August 2023, and have found some helpful info on this site. Looking forward to getting in on some discussions as I get to know the site better. Hello from the mountains of WV!

Hi all! Long time lurker first time poster. I aquired my 2011 LX back in August as an uograde from my 5speed 4runner and its treated me well. Its seen a good portion of Colorado mountains as well. The forums posts here have helped with maintenance items and brainstorming. Hopefully some more trolling and I can figure out some of these weird electrical gremlins.

Land Cruiser looks good!

Hello, new member here. Recently purchased a 2015 Nebula Grey LX, with 40k miles. Been looking for a clean low mileage LX for over 12mo and when this came up 40min north, i know i had to have it. Although we're missing the 09 GX we traded in we love the added room for car seats. Future plans are tint, wheels/tires, really digging the Icon Vector 5's. Once the kids are a little older we'll get it out on the trails and outfit it for some light camping.

Located in Denver, CO.

I have had my 09 200 for several years and had NO problems at all. Recently though the HVAC has been acting up. When vehicle is off for a while it forgets the temp setting and defaults to 75 on both sides. Also, upon starting the auto light is on but nothing showing in the temp windows. After a minute or so the auto goes off. I can set it to auto then the default of 75 appears and fans come on. I can set the temps and all is well until shut off for longer that a few minutes.. Any Ideas? is there a memory battery somewhere that could be at fault?

Thanks

Hey guys! Just joined here. Have 2016 LC200. Would love to start a local club-Coastal Carolina Land Cruisers if anybody is in the south eastern coastal area of NC/north eastern area of SC.

Hello everyone. I'm new to this forum and happy owner of my 2011 LX570. Not sure where to start and don't want to make a mess on the forum so decided to start here. I wanted this vehicle for years probably and finally bought it this year. It's amazing, although it's pretty old and high mileage. It does have some issues, but I hope not a big deal. Also want to install LED light bulbs in headlights and interior lights, carpets and sound deadening material to make it quieter inside.

Hey all, I'm the very happy new owner of this 2021 Heritage Edition! I found it in San Diego, CA. I'm looking forward to learning a lot more about it on this forum. I have done a little lurking here already getting general info about 200 Land Cruisers and about this particular one. I have also been getting info here before about my 2006 GX. I have owned many American made 4WD trucks before these.

Just joined . Encouraged by the huge amount of useful information, I can't think why it has taken me so long.
Preparing now for a 6000km round trip from just north of Cape Town (South Africa) up through Namibia to it's very northern boundary with Angola . The interesting part starts at St Nowhere camp (yes, it is in the middle of nowhere) and up along the fabled Skeleton Coast to the Kunene River mouth. From there , across the dune fields and Hartman's mountain range and heading back south through Kaokoland (and that is right at the end of nowhere !).
A few days after that will be spent enjoying the wildlife of the incomparable Etosha National Park before heading home.
Last year we were just to the east of this route experiencing the Van Zyls Pass and Marienfluss, words cannot describe that area, come and see for yourself.
