Weird whisper-ish spinning noise when pressing gas pedal (1 Viewer)

The noise is very weird. It is very low volume and only I can hear it. It sounds like "choo choo choo..." something spinning. I feel it's from either the engine bay or undercarriage near the front row. I first noticed it when I was going uphill in a mountain pass towing a 5000 lbs travel trailer to Death Valley. Since then, I can hear it most of the time when I press the gas pedal. It’s not related to the speed, but only how hard I press the gas pedal. It’s more obvious when going uphill and towing. The car is a new LX with only 4900 miles. I could ask the dealer to check in the upcoming service but it’s likely they would just say there’s no problem. What should I check by myself to identify the root cause or bring it to some LC specialist shop?

There are others here that have noticed a similar sound with their 200s. My 2013 has a unique sound that may be similar to what you are experiencing, granted I have over 100k on her with off road tires and bumpers, I do only hear it under mild acceleration when the tranny drops a gear. May be a a loose heatsheield, exhaust leak from the manifold or aerodynamics from the bumper..etc.
If you are under warranty it wouldn't hurt to take it to the dealer and have them with you for a test drive so they can hear exactly the noise you are hearing.

Find a mechanic’s stethoscope and touch it to the fuel rail while someone gives the engine some throttle. Fuel pressure regulators are known to make a choo choo-ish sound sometimes.

I have a similar noise but only when moving and under load. Revving engine in park or N does not have the noise. Its mildly bothered me since i have have owned this vehicle June of 2021....2013 LX570 134,000 miles.

Sounds like the same issue. Mine also only happens under load, so towing + uphill makes it most obvious.

Nothing to worry about, it's just the little voices in our heads whispering "do it, stomp on the accelerator"...

If I had to guess the location of the sound it would be underneath the front passenger seat floorboard. Chasing sounds is tough. I need someone else to drive it while I sit over there.
