Noise when turning steering wheel (1 Viewer)

Hey all-

My 2011 LX570 recently began making noise when turning the steering wheel. It is a whine, only when turning. To me, it sounded like the power steering pump was bad. I first tried a fluid flush (did not help) and then replaced the power steering pump, which also did not help.

Any ideas what else this could be?

OK nevermind, I think it is the cold weather issue with the boot/seal. Sorry, I thought I had searched enough, but apparently not.

After getting down near the floor I realized it is coming from this area.

Groaning and moaning might signal something fantastic, but in this case it's more annoying than anything. Turning at low speed, worse when cold weather. Sound comes from inside the car, almost as though it's very close to the steering wheel (like just behind it). Definitely not anything under...

Happening with mine 2011 as well since for last few days, since it is cold.
Is it gone with the weather or should I be concerned?
I am planning a long trip in coming months. Do I need to check anything?
