Weird sparky plug

Pulled this plug out of a 2000 Golf, 2.0L.
Customer complaint: no power, runs rough.
Scan says lots of misfire codes, especially on this cylinder.

Anyway, never seen a plug look like this after 2000 miles. Ideas?
No, I' haven't checked compression or injector balance or timing or... yet. Just thought i'd toss this out there for your entertainment.

I don't know if it plasma welded itself to death or if it is FOD.

We'll get a compression test and have a better idea of how bad things are.

Suspect head is gonna be coming off....

I am amazed that you got the plug out without destroying the threads in the head itself...

Thanks for posting that Mark.

Turns out the plug fell out? while on a trip. Owner had podunk garage drill & helicoil boogered thread. They drilled the helicoil off at an angle (easy to do in the soft aluminum head). This put the plug into the combustion chamber at an angle, exposing too much plug, allowing the meltdown to start.

New complete head assembly, plugs, wires... fixes the problem.
