did you read up on the issues with his door weatherstrip adhesion problems?

Ive got about 5 vehicles running his weatherstrip. No issues.

Mud has a bad habit of making small issues look large.

Drivers door is also nicely rust free

Took the first door into the shop. I’ve literally not looked at them in months. I was expecting the bottom to be rotten like 75% of them I’ve had are but I was very pleased that they look great

They would not roll up because the runners were so crusty.
I pulled them out and put in some from City Racer and they were so thick the windows won’t roll up. Anyone else have this issue?

I got the 360* sprayer tip out and hoses the inside of the door with Fluid Film.

I purchased some door stops a while back. Cool thing is, the ears that are usually broken off are good.

Getting the doors on.....this is the real before and after shot.

Adhesion is not because of weatherstripping. Need the right 3M glue.

9 days later and the City Racer weatherstrip is still stuck to the doors. I’m going to call install error to the above poster that was saying they don’t stick.

Ordered some CCOT seatbelts and installed them

Who else has the sads that the owner of this beautiful beast has

a) remained anonymous
b). not picked it up yet

the newer door weather strip doesn't like the recommended 3m. you're dealing with a different weather strip than most that had issues...merely a psa thats all.

Chapter 3 of the life of Weenie3 begins today

Weenie3 made it home. Mixed reviews though. It’s stuttering and bucking with slight backfire under load in 2nd and 3rd.

I had him change the fuel filter and add new premium gas.

He also checked all the plug wires for me over FaceTime. Dissy is still secure. Not moving. Vac advance is attached.

This thing is super simple. DUI with a @FJ40Jim carburetor.

Help me out here. We need Weenie3 rolling strong again

whats the fuel pump status? new, recently changed, unknown?
those are classic fuel delivery issues.

New OEM pump. New DUI. New live wires. New Toyota plugs, new gaskets for the carburetor. New header with Remflex.

Tank was rust free inside.

Engine has great compression across all 6.

Timing is 11*

Such a simple setup. Has to be something loose or.....


I’m stumped. It sat a lot since January. Most trips since I got it fully sorted out were short but it always ran great.
