that is a..... Sporin. :)

The little pouch you wear with a kilt. :)

OK, but since your not wearing your kilt Saturday, maybe leave it at home? ;)

See you guys at 9, bringing my Dad, was going to drive the 25 up (a bigger adventure than wheeling) but the family beat me down. I'm more worried about the Chevy making the round trip.

I can't make it guys. I spent the whole day (8:00am until 3:30pm) with my daughter finding here a new car. We got a 1996 Camry as is of a dealer lot. So that means Dad has a few small problems to work out for her such as a non working DS rear door window. Nothing major but I need to get the parts order together tomorrow.

So everyone have a good time and Dave, your mission is to break something. You have to be driving your truck but not necessarily break your truck. Post pics please.

Looks like it will be a great day for wheeling!

Rick, you'll be very proud of Dave! I'll let him explain and show you his pictures!
We had a good time, 3 rigs from 3 different decades!
The whole Morin clan took turns driving (Jack did very good, and Sara drives better than Dave!) Jim wouldn't let his Dad drive tho.
A little bit of carnage but everyone made it back to pavement.
Thanks for coming out guys, I had a good time.

Mark or Matt, either of you guys going to have an open seat?
Trying to find one for my daughters boyfriend.

Lane

GREAT day, Jack was really nervous at first but gradually got used to the tipping and bumping.

My damage was a classic "on the way out" dumbass move. Just not paying attention and got too close to a tree. My ham fisted attempt to right myself before Lane could get over and spot made it worse. Then I slid off the muddy logs and right into the tree. Gravity + Mud + 2 ton tank = Oops.

I actually think I can fix it... this is primarily a fun wheeling rig so cosmetics aren't a big deal.

The mirror glass didn't break, a bit of gorilla glue and JB Weld and I think I'll have it back together.

The door is fine, the front wing will need a bit of pounding and some clever nut-bolt-washer work should fix the torn sheetmetal. That fluff there is the fiberglass that was used to attach the flares.

Worse comes to worse I get a new wing. I don't really care about the flares.

All in all, a GREAT day. We stopped in Keene on the way home for Sara to get some new running sneaks fitted by the pros at Teds. (GREAT customer service) then we fell victim to the PIAZZA for ice cream. Bad Dave, BAD!

Lane, thanks for getting us out there, a perfect day for wheeling. Dave and Lane got me through a bunch of spots I had no business taking a stock 25. :bounce:

Here's the underseat battery carnage, I got skewered on a log, If Lane didn't stop me I'd be singing in a different key now...........

AWESOME job Dave. The first dent is the hardest taken, the rest don't even matter!

I'm so sick and tired of Barton whining about body damage that I had to put Erin in the driver's seat at Kina's for some relaxing R&R on the trail.

that first pic of dave is the exact same place of the pic on my avatar, stay off my rock:flipoff2::hillbilly:

Day 2 of the weekend turned out to be a great day of some pretty hard wheeling.
We had 5 rigs attend, Mark W. in his 40, Junior in his 40, me and mine, Matt with his buggie and
one Jeep (forgot his name already). We met at the Swanzey PO and made our way up to
the new trail (Porcupine Ridge). It doesn't look like anyone has run this trail since it was cut but
we did our best to try and break it in a little bit.
The trail is a bit deceiving. At the beginning there aren't alot of rocks or anything really, just a gradual
climb up a hill thru some trees and a few slick spots. When you reach the bottom of a pretty long and steep
hill you have a fairly small ledge to climb. In dry weather this would be a pretty easy climb but the whole hill
was just like trying to drive up a board covered with grease. Everyone except Matt needed either a strap or a winch to get up. Next big challenge was a short rock field of about 40 ft. Mark, Jr. and I took the by-pass.
Matt put on a really cool show with the buggie launching the front end 6' in the air as he came up over the top. The Jeep also took this challenge and about 30 minutes later with some good spotting he made it up.

After you get over the rock field it's a pretty easy drive thru the woods with a few small ledges to climb to the end of the trail. It's a straight shot across the access road from the end of PR trail to the beginning of Wambus. I think we all enjoyed being on Wambus more than the first trail. No real problems here, had to
make a few attempts in a few places mostly because it was wet. We reached the campsite and went over to the left and the Jeep (last pic) climbed a pretty nasty ledge. It's about 2 vehicle lengths to the top, pretty steep and off camber. The normal line is to come down it and that would be a challenge. Going up you need to stay right tight to the tree and if you don't your going to take a pretty good roll. Got to give him credit for trying and making it!
We would have liked to try Wambus 2 but it was getting late. We left the trail just after 4.
A great day, no breakage, everyone went home smiling!

You can see in this picture just below his rear tire is about a one foot drop, and he has to get his front tire up over that little fin. If his rear slips down over the drop he's going to go over. There is about 4 more feet of the ledge below that the pic doesn't show.
