Then I need to order one from the North Pole? Is it blizzard proof?

We will be heading to the T.N.F./ sky way.. We will come in near Sylacuaga and head east.
The ride will be a loop with us camping near Cheaha. I would not anticipate that this is going to be a very difficult ride but depending on what kind of time we make there are a lot of open gates that we can explore.
If anyone cant make it the first day or just wants camp I can give directions coming from the Oxford area to where we will be camping.

We will be holding a "Official" meeting at some point over the weekend.
We will vote on a few things then i.e. board of directors.

So I encourage all to make it at least to the camp site.

Looking forward to this ride

bring a strap, for the catfish

Did we officially decide a date?

via mobile app.

I'm pretty sure we decided on the 7th-8th..

Ok.. 9th and 10th..
Guess I should listen better at the meetings.

Really I'm fine with any but it seemed that most can go that weekend.

The GAP is open the following weekend. And folks should go down there for that.

What time is departure? I've got a photo shoot in Montgomery the morning of the 9th. We'll be wrapped by 10:30-11 though.

I imagine we will will be gone by then..
You can catch up with us or meet us at the camp..
I'll give you directions either way..
I figure if you left montgomery @ 11 you would probably be an hour behind us.

Cool, yeah if you've got GPS track or location info that'd be great. My friend Hal who just moved here from TX will probably leave with me, so we'll have two trucks showing up a little late.

Bonus points if anyone there has CB or Ham radio that we can talk-in on the way.

I've got the track for skyway from when I ran it.

I'll make sure everyone gets it..
Kieth I think I can find a route that will alow you to meet us before we finish..
I get all that together as we get closer.

May I suggest that we meet before the ride to discuss trails and camping plans. Prolly gonna be a cold campout. Would like to talk gear needs and such.I haven't camped out since I was a kid.
Maybe a coffee and cruisers meet?

I'm always up for that. Was fun at O'Henry's last time. Need to reserve the loft next time.

Big thing for cold weather camping is a good ground insulation (thermarest or similar) and a good bag. If you're really cold, a couple of nalgene bottles full of boiling water inserted in a pair of heavy wool socks, and throw them in the bag with you. It'll keep it nice and toasty for a good bit.

I slept on a closed cell foam pad on an air mattress, and my buddy was just on an air mattress, last time we camped in <30 degree weather. I was comfy, and he was freezing. The foam makes a good bit of difference. Air mattress w/o it actually sucks heat away.
