First, I'd like to thank Semlin for posting a work up on the front door window repair. I could use a little MORE help...

I installed 5" Eclipse speakers in the front doors. What a difference!!!
I read a post where someone reccommended that the 2 dash speakers should be dissconnected after new speakers on the doors were put in. Ideas on that?

The passenger side window was completely out of the bottom bracket. I now know the noise I was hearing ( the loose bottom bracket )when I opened and closed the door. A little advice here- don't pull up on the glass with too much force. It will come out of the track seated on the bottom.
I pulled the wondow out and reinstalled it. It slides better, but mid way it starts to vibrate on it's way up. Anyone have this problem ?

Lastly, the driver side window was moving slow. so I cleaned and greesed the tracks, and the gear. Now there is a clicking sound in the gearing when I bring the wondow about 1/4 of the way up. It stops there and won't move until I pull on the glass.
What else can I do? Is there a gear adjustment?

Thanks ...

Just to follow up on the thread, after looking at the door with the door skin removed, there is an adjustment on the upper track (this must be in the FSM) for the power window. I loosened the nut, adjusted the track upward and the clicking sound stopped.

The speakers are paired in the truck. The front door with the front dash and the rear doors with the cargo roof ones. They are 4 ohm speakers wired in parrellal for a combined 2 ohm value. If you replace either set of door speakers you should disconnect the others as they could cause problems.

Thanks Rick. So far no problems with the speakers.
