Its looking really good. &nbsp:Do you have any more pictures of the steps along the way up on your site? I know that I am planning on doing a lot of the same body work that you have done and it is pretty inspirational to see it after it has worked. When you get it done you will definately have to post a before and after. It should be pretty incredible.

Lookin great! Get yer butt in gear tho, "opening" weekend is May 3rd!!

Way impressive.
Way.
:D

thanks for the support,

woody, i am guessing 3 months, the steering is coming together nicely and after that, the only big job is drive shafts and cut-n-rotate.

oh and for all you wannabes, the color is rustoleum saftey red :flipoff2: :flipoff2: :D

oh and my dad bent up some steel to go around the tail lights off the bumper....sweet :D

nice work

doin the same thing to my 71 fj40 and i got a few questions for ya

what thickness metal did you use on your tub floor?

and did you eliminate any bodymounts?

were your body mounts as thick as the originals?

thanks.

<14 guage diamond plate :D >
and did you eliminate any bodymounts?
<nope kept them all, welded 2x2 steel under the bed to keep the original fronts, and provided places for the rest>
were your body mounts as thick as the originals?
<thicker, because we did a (quasi) body lift at the same time...something like 3/4" lift. used a chopped up boat roller :D Thanks woody :D >
thanks.

hope that helps!
take a look at my photo page too, should answer some questions.

also, MAKE your quarter panels....paid 110 for two sheets of stainless, compared to 180 for one steel from ccot. plus, with the scrap, we got stainless kick panels :D
