I'm trying to figure out what the best option for front seats for my daily driver FJ40 would be if its going to have a bikini top and probably no doors on the majority of the summer. Do you have any affordable recommended options for seats that are weather proof or affordable seats that you recommend and a way to keep them from exposure to rain etc (covers etc)?

Thanks

If you are looking to have them redone there is a material called cordura. I bought some suspension seats for a previous project and ordered the cordura. I think it might even be used on the outside of a bullet proof vest. Weather. tear and fade resistant.

I ended up getting neoprene seats from Corbeau. Pricy but I've been pleased.

wet okole is a nece option as well...

having mine redone would have cost way too much.

Actully neoprene "is" water proof. In a wet suit the water doesn't permeate in through the material but it seeps in around the edges of the arms legs & neck and then warms from body temp and the foam neoprene material insulates and holds the heat in.

Right, so when you sit on wet neoprene, you get wet pants.

I think his concern was to protect his seats. If he wants a dry butt he'll need neoprene pants.

If y'all were any smarter you'd be dangerous :)

no neoprene pants but I did take the above advice and slide a trash bag over my pants ;)

and marine grade carpet works nice too.
