It appears my power steering pump is acting up, any of you ever had success by flushing it?

I have a chunk from an 84 FJ60 if you need it! The 3.73 gears still have the machining marks on them. Lemme know by morning so I can get it boxed up to take with me!

Flushing usually doesnt do much, especially on a 2000. Whats it doing? squaking? jerking?

I should go into my shop and work on the LV. The axle needs reassembling and installing. Do I want to work on my own crap all morning and other people's crap all afternoon?

I could go to the RC shop and go wheelin and maybe buy an Axial transmission, but they don't open till 11:00.

Too early to start drinkin'. Don't want to peak too soon.

your pump is prolly dieing.

Not a big deal. They arent that much money. I go through a power steering pump (on the 3.4 in the 92) every 4 days of wheeling or so. (cause of the hydro) I carry a pump with me in the back, and have changed it on the trail before.

In the 80s forum they talked about putting in a teaspoon or two of Downy fabric softener in the reservoir and it helps quiet down the pump.

How did the seat bracket install finally end up? I think a couple more holes would make it fully adjustable !
