Saturday - February 20, 2010 from 1pm - ?

Join us for some wrenching, eating, drinking and just hanging out. Food and drinks will be provided. There will be home made chili as well as brats, burgers and dogs with some pop, light and captain (for John). You can wrench or just hang out and watch DVDs of the ’06, ’07 UA, ’06 Expo Trophy and Legendary LC while shouting out useless advice on how to fix something.

This is only in a small three car garage so most likely only one project in at a time due to the tables and chairs. But it is heated so we will be comfortable and the weather will not dictate anything.

There will be access to a lift (4-post), welder (120v), 20gal. parts cleaner, 20 ton press, some Toyota tools, air tools, hand tools, etc.

Show up for 5 minutes or the whole day. Or you could just come out to see Rob’s new Georgia Cruisers/Rescue Tellico FJ-62.

Go ahead and post up a project that we can work on. So far, just some small projects are on the list but bigger ones are welcome.

Just PM me for the address and contact information.

It should be a good turn out; we don’t have a whole lot of dialog on this section of the Mud/TLCA club board but we do have a lot of participation.

I'll come by to see Rob's new 62 and make inappropriate comments. I'd spin a wrench or two only if Steffy brings his new 80. I heard he wants a few cup holders installed.

I know one of the BR guys may* be looking for an 80. Maybe there's somebody who has a creme puff 80 they want to sell for cash? Too bad I don't know anyone selling his 80 to fund his 4 Skinner addiction. :flipoff2:

Shot across the bow. Man all battle stations! :flipoff2:

I know of this creme puff 80 still sitting on a lot waiting for a new owner. $6500-7000 would probably remove it from their property, although they have it priced at a ridiculous $10,900. I know exactly how much they have "in" it though.

Cup holders? What kind of a panzy needs cup holders? Us 4skinner guys dont need cup holders. :flipoff2:

I was thinking of butt warmers for the power leather seats:D. Should come in nice for toys for tots.

But if someone is looking for a posh 80 Im am willing to negotiate for a reasonable price

let me know if you need to bring anything in perticular.

Ill come hang out, I cant resist captain!

Prolly drive the 92, just fur fun. It only gets driven about once a month in the winter.

What's on the project list so far? If there's time and room, I need a seat frame built for the 40. The wooden one holding the passenger seat is starting to split. I got a 12' stick of 1" x 1/8 square tube that should be enough for the one side. I just worry about welding over the gas tank.

Sounds like a fun project. Count me in to help on that.

I just worry about welding over the gas tank.

I would think that we would only tack weld in position and then remove for the final weld, so this shouldn't be an issue.

I also have various sizes of welding blankets to use if needed.

We will put you on the list.

this is like deja vu for me...that's how wclc started a couple decades ago:clap: we all used to head to steve hanson's boss' place, then later to steve's garage to do wrenching

The 1" square tube I have should be good for the frame and legs, but I think I would need some flat stock to make as the feet to bolt through the floor. I'm thinking of a basic frame that uses the existing bolt holes. I want the seat to be removable from the frame too.
