We also learn trailer wheel travel is way over rated and air bag suspension sucks!
Be still my quivering heart! Been saying that for quite a while and the "Experts" over there have been all about long travel trailer suspensions and air springs.

My experience towing my Lil frankentrailer was that it wad necessary to add a track/panhard bar to add more stability. When I told my fabricator (who used to design race suspension) I wanted wheel travel and independent suspension he said why? That is why we changed the design to the way it is now much more stable on and off road at speed. As I mentioned earlier 85 through open desert and no sway or tracking issues. I'm sure those indi systems ate nice, but 90% of my miles are on road and if I need to swerve on the freeway I want to keep the shiny side up.

Im fairly new to this trailer game but have built in excess of 50 long travel ls1 sandcars. The trailer Im building now is long travel with bags and I cant even imagine not having a sway bar or some type of modified anti sway device for the road, or even off road at speed for that mater. I built a prototype long travel trailer that we tried to destroy for a couple of years. It was really scary at first... We finally figured how to use limit straps to adjust the ride height holding the trailer down and pumping up the bags tight on each side. It was a great way to keep the sway to a minimum while not having to deal with all the weight, expense and engineering of a sway bar.

On the water issue I was just given a water tank that is 8x16x48 black PVC. I want to mount it on the 8" edge. Is there really anything needed other than a couple of straps if it is on a flat floor? It really seems weak to me in that the sides seem thin and looked warped? At 26.5 gallons and 225 lbs I'm a bit concerned but would really be thinking hard if I had to hang it from under the rig. Any suggestions on a better way of mounting? Or is just keeping it in place enough?

Trailers aren't, normally, passenger carrying vehicles. Different rules apply. Their only tractive demands are lateral and possibly braking if so equipped. Once you're below the point of breaking the eggs and/or fizzing the beer it's wasted effort.

Normally PE is the choice for potable water holding tanks. Not sure exactly why, could be taste reasons, could be biologic growth reasons. Suggest research before use.

suspension being constructed on my low dollar beast

If I remember it is 12 x 12 x15 to the top of the pump. There is no better tank for the money in my opinion. It is way overbuilt to withstand a ton of abuse!

The ERO tank looks very well made. On the issue of potability I see no mention in the website. Very careful in wording to say washing or showering, never a mention of potability.
I'm am not saying they aren't just wondering why? It may be a liability issue much like bumpers with hitches that make no claims for towing application.

Do you intend to use it for drinking water?

If so is the sanitization process as simple as running a concentrated bleach solution through, then rinse and fill?

Yes I know Tom the owner and the issue is legal. Iinternational standard certification blah blah. I will be using it for drinking cooking showering etc without any issue. I believe it would cost upwards of 15-20k to get some right to use the stamp on tank saying it is for potable water. Very easy to clean becsuse of the easy access wide lid! Yes I would use maybe 3 drops of bleach fill it let it sit then rinse.
