Before I reassembled the interior for the "last" time, I went through a car wash test. First up was a pressure rinse. I hit the shark fin with the pressure washer from all angles, multiple times. Through the second row, I felt the floor of the way back and it was wet. I told myself: "it's not too bad, just don't pressure wash the shark fin". I then went across the street to the carnival fun house where sumo wrestlers beat your vehicle with wet rags, or so it seems. More water on the floor. I opened the rear door and felt the top of the headliner...it was dry. I removed the shop towel I placed on the headliner under the shark fin...it too was dry. I looked at the rear door and the interior of the door was wet at the top, as was the door seal. I had two leaks. I'm confident I fixed the shark fin, now I just need to replace the door seal.

Living in a place where it rains a lot and vehicles get covered in pollen and conifer needles, this was something that needed to be addressed. I'm feeling a lot better about it. Maybe one day I'll have a garage that actually fits a vehicle.
Moving from Atlanta to Portland over the next week. Good to note for potential future issues.

Mine would have been easier if I didn't have to diagnose the leak. Not sure what year Bob's is, but my antenna is significantly different. A 10mm bolt and that wiring looks like a much better design. Mine had a plastic retainer on the 22mm nut that was really difficult to figure out how to release without being able to see it. He doesn't have rear climate control. The ducts block the area where he had access. I had to go around them.

Realized I didn't close the loop on this. I replaced my door seal to fix that leak. Shark fin replacement and new back door seal solved my issues and it's been dry ever since.

Mine's a 2015. He has red tail lights. If original that'd be pre-2014 right?
If you look at the first few minutes of the video when he's standing in front of his rig, you'll see the grill and headlights. Absolutely 14+. (unless he did a retro upgrade, but unlikely)

You're right. That was some late night viewing for me. Didn't make sense that Lexus would have gone from that shark fin design to what I have. It definitely would have been a step backward. Wish mine was anywhere near as easy to address as his was. Just glad this is all in the past for me.
