I was recently was forced to move my FJ40 to higher ground in Houston and now have water in my oil and steam coming from exhaust, the oil is slightly milky, it seems to idle fine and is not difficult to start..What would be the best course of action to prevent damage or more damage..

Drain all the lubricants and refill with new, quickly, before everyone else has to do the same thing

Change the engine oil and filter, and see what happens...

Steam could be from water in the exhaust pipe and may take a while/significant run time/heat to get it to all evaporate out.

first, we are praying for you guys in TX. You guys are are tougher than Harvey!

If the water is from going through deep water, then I would change the oil, or at least let it sit overnight and slightly open the drain plug and try and let the water out until you get oil. If it is coolant water, then you may have bigger issues.

What @Poser said. I would change it again after running it up to full temp a couple of times.

I just head rebuilt gasket up, I'm sure it's from deep water...I have no access to other lubricants everything is shut down for now..I idled it for 30 minutes no milkshake, idles and starts easy only sign is grayish oil under valve cover and a little swirl on dipstick oh and exhaust steams
