Was the fg the last trail run of the year?

I had such a fun time at the fall gathering, I was just curious is that it for the year. Are their going to be any other smaller get togethers, trail runs or trail maintance projects before the end of the year? :bounce::bounce2:

We still have a bridge to build in Swanzey, I just need to get moving
with the club we will be working with.

I am planning at least 2-3 more runs before the snow flies. This is the only time of year I get a chance to wheel.

NEA is planning another Snow run this winter.
I went last year and it was a blast!
We'll post details when its worked out.

IF you want to wheel, then put something together :D

I'm not much of a leader or organizer, but if that's what it takes to make it happen I might have to step up to the plate :)

does anyone know who do I contact at nea to help with the trail cut this weekend

and lane the bridge project sounds like it might be fun, let me know when

My girlfriend and I would like to help out at the trail cut this weekend but I've been having trouble joining that other board to comment. We were looking for someplace to camp up there anyway. Any ideas folks?

Can't/does Yankee Toys have ONE central site where we can figure out what's going on? Had a great time at FG but getting more info is like pulling teeth.

Cut & Wheel in Springfield NH

"Moose Mountain" Cut & Wheel
Springfield NH
SUNDAY OCTOBER 7th

Bring Shovels, gloves, chainsaw, clippers, and your rig.
Pack a lunch, bring bug spray, and lots of water. There are a lot of blackberry bushes with THORNS, so long pants are nice.

Meet at 9am
Roll at 9:30

DIRECTIONS:
Take I-89 North to exit #11.
Take RT-11 EAST into Andover.
The meeting spot is just beyond the intersection of rt 11 and rt 4A at the Blackwater Junction Restaurant & Store. Park around in back behind the gas station.

The store at the meeting spot has food, gas, air, and sundries. There will be some road travel to the property from there. You can park extra vehicles and trailers at the meeting spot.

To add:
I'm told it is ~15 miles from the trailer parking/meet spot to the actual trails, so make sure your rig is road worthy. This is a relatively new place and we have not worked out all the trailer parking issues. As of now there is a landing that could park trailers on site but the class 6 road to access it is very rough. Therefore those there is no trailer parking on site yet and those with trailers should plan to drop their rigs and back-trach to the meet spot. If we can find/make trailer parking on site that is a bonus. Latest word is we may have a small tractor coming to grade the road.

Any Questions/if your late/backing out please email me at Paul@johnregish.com or call my home 413-863-8381 or my cell 413-250-2463 so we are not waiting for you all day long.

Take it easy on the questions, I've never been there myself.

For the Springfield trail cut try PM'ing PAUL directly though NEOW.

Thanks for the info. I would have replied last week when they were first discussing the options but I still haven't been able to join the forum over there, which means, I also can't PM anyone.

Now we just need to figure out where to camp. Driving up from Rhode Island wouldn't be any fun for a 9am meeting. I can't believe how difficult it is to find places to camp in New England.

I just email Paul for the wheel and cut Sunday
I'm in

rhett121 you could email Paul for exact directions to the wheel and cut so you don't have to meet up so early in the morning or maybe get his cell # and have someone head out and meet you when your in the area to show you the way.
I don't know that area, but there might be a cheap hotel close by instead of a camp ground
I'm sure theirs a way

Well I got a spot at Cascade Campground in Loudon, NH so now I'll just figure out how far it is from Springfield. Ok just checked, it's about an hour away, not too terrible. I've gotta pick up some parts for our BMW on Saturday in Concord, NH which is how we found the campground so this should be good enough.

I wish I had brought my big chainsaw up with me. I got some nice new FJ cruiser gloves at FG though :D
