I have been looking up on this forum and I don't think I saw one thread where any year besides 2004 claimed to have had an MFD issues. I'm not sure if the issue is overblown, but after reading it it definitely made me consider getting a 99-02 to avoid it. Just wondering if 05-07 were also part of that group and if MFD is more of a when and not an if as these vehicles age.

It seems like the part is rather hard to find and there is basically no way around it in terms of finding an aftermarket replacement.

Which issue are you referring to?
Aware of the dryjoints, is that what you are talking about?

MFD???

Ha! I googled it—he must mean multi-function display. If the issue is “the MFD sucks,” I’d say that’s common to all that have ‘em. Non-nav would be awesome, but I wanted a 5 speed, and late model non-nav 100s in the US are very, very rare.
If the issue is “they stop working” I can tell you that the PO had the dealer replace mine on my 04....dunno about other years.
