Warn winch noise (1 Viewer)

I have a Warn XD9000 which hasn't been used in over a year. When I went to test it out today It gave a loud noise as if it was almost jamming. The roller moves freely so it isnt the roller it is something internal. The noise was as if I was pulling the vehicle up a mountain beacause the lights got really dim which they usually do not. Does anybody have any suggestions to look for on the winch. Thanks

Take it apart a take a look, that much of a load I would think it would be pretty apparent once you had the cover off of it. It may need a good lube.
