76 with stock 2F and just replaced idle solenoid because of run-on and inconsistent idling. now i've got a truck that wants to stall out when i brake to a stop and is okay when i coast to a stop. anybody?

Brake booster is bad. When you push on your brakes, you open up a massive vacuum leak that kills your engine. Get a newer booster from an fj60 or mini truck.
