I have decided to remove the "infamous" AC on my pig, so I need someone who is willing to cut a section out of their roof. I can provide exact dimensions but this should give you an estimate of what I need. It does need to be from the center section so the curves can be retained. The horizontal roof brace over the front row was not cut.

In the pic, the AC is over the first row, you can see the DS seatbelt and the DS B-pillar.

Email me with price to jason at cruiseryard. I also have lots of parts including pig parts if you wanna barter.

You could probably cut a similar pattern out of a 60 or 80 roof Jason, it's pretty flat right there. Thought about doing a pop up sunroof?

Tucker

I mentioned using a 60/80 with my body guy and he said to try and get a 55 due to the curves. I did think of the popup sunroof too, and would not mind one, but it seems that so many of them are poor quality and look trashy. I am sure they make some nicer ones, I just havent seen many of them. I will give it this soem time to see if one comes, otherwise I may go that route.

does that thing work? I may be willing to trade a patch panel for an a/c unit:D

I'll take you up on that!!

yea, the fan comes on, at least for a short time. then stops I found out this weekend. Either a short or the motor needs to be rebuilt.

send me a cardboard template for the cut-out. I'll send you the patch panel, then we can work out how to go about shipping the chiller. Does that thing just use any old compressor/condenser? Are there any identification markings on it, IE manufacturer info etc...? send ing addy in PM...

Jason, don't make no sense to me to cut a PIGGYS roof unless someone like LAMBCRUSHER has it laying around. I will cut you a piece OF .040 CRS for FREE if you give me dimension. Just need a rear window gear. OHH and you still need to give LAMBCRUSHER THE unit. The radius isn't so extreme that it cant be formed and welded!

Thanks Bob.

Bob-
Funny you should pop in. I was thinking of asking if you could do this too. I havent cut into a 55 before, but I am assuming the roof has a a double lined, so it has one outer and one inner pieces of metal, not sure what that is called. I am not a fabricator, but would that require 2 pieces, one being welded on the inside, the other externally?

I dont want anyone to cut into a pig unless the truck is too far gone. I would have cut the top off the 74 parts truck if I had felt that way, but it was too nice to do.

I dont have any rear window gears, the guy who bought the shell also bought the doors. He has some extra doors though that may have the regulator. Let me know if we can work something out.

Lambcrusher- the ac is yours, we'll figure out shipping. I was just gonna scrap the metal, so if you can use it, more power to ya! I will try to get some info off of it this weekend.

I love this forum... Bob, you need a tailgate window gear? shoot me a PM with the deets...I should have it for you.

FYI, these rigs only have one roof skin- it is only one sheet- not overlaps or rolls, just bowed...HTH
