Hi,
So I am finally deciding that the rust issue on my BJ60 might not be worth dealing with. Instead I have the crazy idea of doing a diesel swap to a much less rusty FJ.
-I don't care if it has any mods ( the less the better as I can build what I want).
-I don't want rust (or as little of it as possible) this includes vehicles that have been worked on. if I wanted to have rust magically pop back in a couple of years I'd do mine.
-If it has a drive train but runs like s*** - as long as it's drivable (and stops) enough to make it up here that's good enough.
-if it does not have an engine then I will be limited by distance
(I'm in Vancouver area, B.C., Canada)
-Don't care what condition the interior is in. If it drives, as long as it has a driver's seat and belts that's ok.
- it does not need to have a super glossy show room finish paint job
-preferably something that's spent it's life in the dryer and less salty States.
-I am not really rich (if I was I'd get a JDM) and are working with a budget. Of course I would like to spend as little as possible but if I find something really nice I will dig deeper to get it.

If you see or have anything that comes close to this please PM or e-mail me.

Thanks in advance!

mine's for sale...but it's got minor rust in the fenders....oh, yeah, and that smashed in rear quarter panel ;)

Thanks for the offer, we'll see what happens.
Th body does not have to perfect, I do have some spare rust free parts like doors and a hood and I think I can find a front fender or two, the main concern for me is the main body shell, back doors, roof, and frame to be in good condition. If it has a couple of dents, that I can work with.

Maybe I'll get lucky and win that cruiser.

I've been out of town and have not had a chance to check this lately - sorry,
I am trying to stay close to the $1000-$2000 range (no insults intended here). There is still a lot of work I will have to put into it and regrettably I don't have a huge budget. On the plus side, it is not necessary for it to run, have doors, fenders and hood (I have those parts in good condition). The main thing I am looking for is frame and main body with the back gates in rust free condition. If I am capable of driving it home for that amount of money - even better!
