...grasping straws on finding a 40" MTR with about 70% tread, but keep asking away. Many thanks to all those who helped Alan load my D60 that was the payment for receiving a buggered set of tyres.

The hood - I'm sure someone has one lying around. I'm waiting on a reply for a $100 offer with $100 to ship one, but might luck out with ya'all having one and using Capt. (Korona) Jim for delivery.

Bad Betty is getting a makeover :D.

Hey Sputnik...I've got a hood you can have for a good bottle of booz....it's a split hood with the hood "ornament" I'll look at it again there may be a few spots you'll need to weld and sand out but I may be wrong.

Chuck - Lemme know - as long as it's straight and salvagable I'd like it. Might be kinda retro kool. Understand while I'm going to beef up some more protection for it - the last one only lasted me 10 years.

Marshall - the type is at Alan's shop. I've had it to a specialist down here - no go, they actually made it worse. Alan took it to the numero uno vulcanizer - no go. Shot. The damage is nice little chunk an inch or so plus ripped out of the bead... You'd be up for many beers if you could salvage that puppy.

Note - the MTR's will mostly be my street tyres - so mayhaps a tube is a solution??? I'd given up hopes on being able to wheel it - the others have minor gashes from whatever idiot the seller had hired to remove them, but that 4th - gawd, it was a sad sight.
